Both artists are concerned with a form of aesthetics that could be described as urban primitivism. Partly influenced by myths and legends, it is a celebration of the richness of the present time. Their work is a challenge to the narrative imagination of the viewer. |
Although cultural boundaries can legitimately limit understanding, the two artists (from opposite ends of the world) successfully demonstrate the possibility of cross-cultural communication. |
